My family has driven the 1200 miles to Ocean City six times in the last 10 years and have always stayed at the Dunes Court. It's location right at the end of the boardwalk is unbeatable, and the price is appropriate. We have stayed at the Dunes since our children were in cribs and now as teens. The rooms are clean, spacious, and recently updated. I want to give a huge shout out to the Dunes staff who made our entire trip very different from years past, but the Dunes made us feel safe. They have protocols in place that helped us relax and enjoy our stay. The staff from front desk to pool maintenance were respectful and courteous and relaxed while following social distancing and wearing masks. GREAT job Dunes Staff!
Stay here! We can’t say enough about the staff and personal experience we had. For example: my fiancé and I (who I proposed to on the deck overlooking the beach) had an incredible experience...the morning after I proposed we were sitting on the deck waiting for the unreliable beach chair and umbrella rental hut to open (non hotel owned-unreliable monopoly they have on the beach) a young gentleman asked if he could get us anything and I explained that we were waiting to rent stuff to enjoy our day on the beach....he said let me see if I can help you out. 15 minutes later he called me down to the hotel garage to his car to help him get two chairs and an umbrella that he personally went and bought for us to use for the weekend. Wow. This type of service doesn’t happen anymore in corporate America. Turns out it was the owner of the hotel, who’s aunt started the place originally. We were blown away. Thank you dunes and Peter for going above and beyond to make our weekend perfect. Being a business owner myself I strive to operate and have the customer service we were provided. Hats off to you all. Cheers!
We have been staying at the Dunes Manor Hotel since my sons were small. They are young men now, and still look forward to staying here. We love the close proximity to the beach, having breakfast in the morning in the restaurant, and the helpful people who work here are very nice. I have never had a major problem in all the years we have been staying here. I love the location... close to the boardwalk, but not in the boardwalk area. Nice and peaceful. Rooms are always clean.
Saw dolphins EVERY DAY. My parents called ahead and ordered an anniversary welcome basket in our room and it was just perfect, can't believe hotels still do that kind of thing. Really made our visit special. Clean, modern room, view of the water and the beach was exceptional. We left our windows open all the time and cracked our front door and had the most perfect cross-breeze all the time. The in-room coffee was decent, and having a whole kitchenette to prepare food made us feel at home. Although the wifi is not fast (around 3mbps up and down), it was just enough to take video conferences for work during the week, so it met my needs. Also the building doesn't have a lobby so its much more private.
